Choose to Challenge on International Women’s Day
Shona Struthers, CEO of Colleges Scotland, has joined the ‘choose to challenge’ message of this year’s International Women’s Day. Speaking to mark the global celebration she said: “It’s so important that, today in particular, we celebrate female leaders in all walks of life, not just for their own achievements but to inspire future female leaders.
“The theme of this year’s International Women’s Day is ‘choose to challenge’ and I would urge everyone to challenge discrimination or lack of opportunity wherever they encounter it.
“In the college sector, we’re very fortunate to have many amazing and talented female role models who are helping to educate and ensure the success of future generations of female leaders.
“On behalf of Colleges Scotland, I wish everyone a happy International Women’s Day.”
