HR Advisor

Up to £33k (full-time, fixed-term or secondment to 31 July 2019)

This is a particularly exciting and challenging time for Colleges Scotland Employers’ Association. Good progress has been made on National Bargaining and agreeing pay and core terms and conditions for lecturing staff, however there remains a significant amount of work still to be done on further lecturer terms and conditions as well as developing national pay and conditions of service for support staff. In addition, we will be jointly developing a number of national staff policies in conjunction with the recognised trade unions.

The Role

This role will provide direct support to the Director of Employment Services and the wider Employers’ Association team, providing a comprehensive HR advisory and support service to the sector on a range of topics including National Bargaining, job evaluation and pay, conditions of service and policy development.

Your Experience

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience at a national level whilst using your already well developed skills and general HR knowledge. Knowledge and experience in the college sector would be an advantage, but more important is your ability to work flexibly, have demonstrated organisational and communication skills, and be resilient in the face of challenges.
