Colleges Scotland Employers' Association

The Employers’ Association is the forum through which National Bargaining is being implemented by the employers, in partnership with the trade unions, in the college sector. The Employers’ Association is jointly responsible for implementing National Bargaining in partnership with the trade unions.

Colleges Scotland was awarded funding from the Scottish Funding Council’s Strategic Funds, as at 1 August 2016 to establish the Colleges Scotland Employers’ Association in order to support activities related to the implementation of National Bargaining across the college sector.  Funding of £460,000 will be paid each academic year: 2016/17, 2017/18 and 2018/19.

National Joint Negotiating Committee (NJNC)

The National Joint Negotiation Committee (NJNC) was established to jointly agree terms on issues, such as pay and terms and conditions of employment in Scotland’s colleges in partnership with the trade unions (EIS, GMB, UNISON and UNITE).
